Our Dark Chocolate Scales are an artisanal product from Modica, a city known for its vocation to the world of confectionery.
Why did we choose Flakes from “Cioccolato di Modica IGP” ?
Scales from “Cioccolato di Modica IGP” are made only from cocoa mass, that is, grinding cocoa beans, and contains only the butter that is naturally in cocoa beans.
It never contains milk or lactose, which is another fat-bearing ingredient.
Only organic cane sugar is added to the fine cocoa.
All this makes it less caloric than regular chocolate.
The real secret is the cold processing:
- It does not melt the sugar inside, leaving the chocolate with a grainy texture.
- It preserves the organoleptic and nutritional properties of cocoa, leaving higher percentages of flavonoids.
