For this blend, we at Makadamia and our Belgian collaborators chose Choco Choc Granola as the base, a chocolate granola that imparts a burst of crunch and a bold, chocolatey flavor.

Coconut adds an exotic note and a touch of sweetness and, together with roasted Italian hazelnuts, gives an extra crunch and an enveloping aroma that will win you over at first taste.

But Dark Coconut Granola isn’t just a treat for the palate-it’s also a great source of energy and nutrition. Roasted hazelnuts are rich in good fats such as oleic acid and linoleic acid that help keep bad cholesterol levels down.

Il termine Porridge deriva dall’inglese “pottage” che vuol dire zuppa o minestra. Tuttavia il piatto in se è ben più antico del suo nome!

Fun fact: Essendo un piatto umile, ma molto nutriente, il porridge veniva servito a colazione ai soldati durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Si narra che si riconoscesse un soldato inglese da uno scozzese a seconda dell’abitudine a mangiare porridge: il primo in versione dolce, il secondo nella sua versione salata.
